Meet the Team
Welcome
to the sixth grade silver team! I am so excited to be teaching sixth grade Language
Arts this year. My teaching career began ten years ago right here at Middle
School North. For the past nine years, I have been teaching at Maple Grove
Elementary. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be back at MSN. I look forward to
exploring the world of Language Arts with the sixth grade students.
Middle school requires students to be more independent and better organized. The transition away from the coziness of elementary school can be hard for some kids. My goal is to help each student successfully transition into middle school and to make sixth grade the best experience for all. This will be an exciting year and I can’t wait to get started.
A little about me…I graduated from Mooresville High in 2001 and from IUPUI in 2005. In 2009, I completed my first Master’s Degree program in “Reading and Literacy”. Currently, I am a student at Ball State working towards obtaining a second Master’s Degree. I am very excited to be starting my 11th year teaching in the Center Grove School Corporation. I recently had the pleasure of experiencing sixth grade in my personal life. My daughter, Trista, will be entering seventh grade this school year. I had the opportunity to surround myself with this developmental stage and fell in love. I discovered how influential I could be and instantly knew that middle school was calling my name once again.
